AgePlan, a provider of resources, services, and solutions in the field of aging, disability, and lifespan development was founded in 2004 by Dr. Lawrence T. Force, a Gerontologist. In March 2008, Mr. Roger Monthie, M.Ed. CAS, MHA joined AgePlan, Inc. as President.

Area of Interest: Aging across the lifespan Background: An acclaimed and nationally recognized name in the field of Gerontology, Dr. Force has worked in the fields of aging and developmental disability as a practitioner, academician, administrator and researcher in the public and private sectors. He is a leader in the area of end-of-life care for people with developmental disabilities. Among his many published works in this field, Dr. Force is co-author of End-of Life Care: A Guide for Supporting Older People with Intellectual Disabilities & their Families and Gerontology: An Interactive Text Education: Dr. Force completed his graduate training in Psychology at the New School for Social Research and holds a doctorate in Social Welfare from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY/Albany.
Mr. Roger A. Monthie

Area of Interest: Management and Administration Background: Mr. Monthie is a recognized expert in the area of long term residential, clinical and day services, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. He also offers his expertise in the areas of strategic planning, organization and administration of human service enterprises. Mr. Roger A. Monthie has worked for over 35 years in the fields of education, health care administration and developmental disabilities as a clinician, administrator and consultant in the public and private sectors. Education: Mr. Monthie received his Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling/Clinical Psychology from Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts and a Master’s in Public/Health Administration from The New School for Social Research in New York.

Ms. Valerie Capalbo
Individual and Family Services
Area of Interest: Professional Coaching focusing on transforming culture, agile methodology cross functional collaboration, executive leadership, mobile enterprises and risk management Background: Mr. Brian Monthie brings professional coaching business strategy, project management, information security and technological entrepreneurship expertise to the AgePlan team in developing and advancing applications to support the Natural Occurring Living Community (NOLC) Mr. Monthie developed an interactive computer based training program to train direct support staff at the State of New York Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (formerly the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities). He also helped launch NYS OPWDDs’ first IP-based videoconferencing system. Mr. Monthie has expert knowledge in technology security and and organizational change. Mr. Monthie is knowledgeable in areas of HIPAA, SOX, and PCI compliance regulations, mobile entrepreneurial development, as well as, state laws regarding individuals privacy. Mr. Monthie has extensive executive leadership in professional agile coaching and transformation working for a number of fortune 500 enterprises including SONY Pictures, Nike, Edward Jones and NFL Digital Media. Mr. Monthie is also a Managing Partner at Unrestricted Humans. Education: Mr. Monthie holds a Masters in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and CISSP, CISA information security certifications.
Area of Interest: Advocacy and Case Management Background: Valerie Capalbo brings her organizational skills and her research experience to the AgePlan team. She currently is directing Age Plan’s concierge specialty case advocacy and support services Ms. Capalbo was involved in the establishment of the Center on Aging and Policy at Mount Saint Mary College. She also helped to conduct a grant funded national survey of the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA’s). Education: Ms. Capalbo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Mount Saint Mary College and a Master’s in Social Work from State University of New York at Albany.

Area of Interest: School Psychology and Counseling Background: Ms. Pisano over 30 years years in school psychology and special support services Education: Ms. Pisano has a masters degree in psychology from Long Island University, Certification in School Psychology from the College of New Rochelle and Certification in School Administration form SUNY New Paltz.
Sharon Murray-Cohen, LMSW

Area of Interest: Grants and Funding Development and administrative support to the non-profit sector Background: Ms. Murray-Cohen is a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker. Her background is in Community Organizing, Program Development, Grant Writing and Fund Development. She presently is the Executive Director of Jewish Family Services of Ulster County, New York a non-sectarian agency that provides a wide array of services to individuals in the latter half of their lives. Ms. Murray-Cohen has taught Social Policy Courses on both the graduate and undergraduate level and has developed and teaches a very successful Grant Writing Certificate program for municipal leaders, non-profit organizations and private industry.
Ms. Bert C. Dennis

Background: Ms. Dennis is an expert in the areas of behavioral analysis for individuals with developmental disabilities; assisting public and private entities in managing the changing needs of citizens and analyzing residential, case management, clinical and day support services in a waiver funding environment Ms. Dennis is a National American forensic counselor certified by the American College of Certified Forensic Counselor which is certified by the Commission of the National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC) Ms. Dennis has over 25 years in public and private entities supporting individuals wirth developmental disabilities Currently, Ms. Dennis is discussion with Raton Economic Development Board (Raton NM) and local community organizations on implementing the concept of the Natural Occurring Living Community Education: Ms. Dennis has a BA from McMurry College and a MA from Eastern New Mexico University in psychology; Doctoral Studies (ABD) at the University of Texas in social work and a PhD. in Psychology from the University of Integrated Studies from the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person (A.I.W.P.).
